General guidance to help you complete the Electronic Visa application form

	Enter the information requested into the appropriate spaces on the form. Please answer all questions. Your answers must be in English and must use English characters. Letters like ñ, é, ü, ç are not recognized by the system. Please enter names like Muñoz, Müller and Sémonin as Munoz, Mueller and Semonin.
	Review the information you entered for accuracy.
	Press the Continue button at the end of the form. Failure to click on the Continue button will result in an incorrectly completed application form.
	Once you have completed your application form, please note the Web Reference Number that will generate on your screen.
	You are required to print your application form, Select the "Download/ Print Application Form" option.
	You can print your form later; to access your completed online application you are required to note your Web reference number before you exit.
	You will need to complete the entire application form at one time for each applicant; if the application is left incomplete, your information will not be saved and the entire activity will need to be repeated from start when you on log again.
	If you are traveling with family, you can select the 'Add' option to commence with the entry of your other family members' forms. Your will not be permitted add more than a total of 5 applicants at any time.
	Please print the Visa Application Form/s and corresponding checklist after it is displayed in Adobe Acrobat.
	Should you decide to visit us personally to submit your application, please bring all printed pages of your Visa Application Form/s, checklists along with the Applicable fees (if not paid online) and supporting documents with you.

PROCESS

Step 1:
Click, All About Visas” Confirm the visa type, based on your reason for travel; do not make any confirmed bookings.

Step 2:
Complete your online application

Step 3:
If the application has been completed you must download & print all form/s, read and complete checklist for type of visa.

Step 4:
Check fees payable, payment Options and documents required. All such details can be found in the respective visa categories under the section

Step 5:
Sign form/s at all indicated places. (signatures required on visa application form 2x, referral form (if applicable) 1x)

Step 6:
Ensure photos are strictly as per specifications. (link) (size 50mm x 50mm, colored and light background. A fotobooth taking pictures as per specification is available at the IVAC Bern (4pics for the price of CHF 20)

Step 7:
Check processing time to plan your travel accordingly.

Step 8:
Attach all supporting documents required as per the Checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

Step 9:
Submit your Application along with the passport and required documents at the Indian Visa Application Centre in Berne in person, by a representative or by mail (see postal applications)

Step 10:
Track your Application online.

Step 11:
Your passport will be returned to you by the mode of delivery opted by you when submitted.
